Shoulder Rest alternatives

Hey, I just recently got an electric violin and it doesn't have the groves on the edges of the body that traditional violins have so my shoulder rest keeps slipping off. Anyone have any suggestions?

I have a Bridge which has very minimal grooves & the German Bonmusica shoulder rest works well. No grooves at all on yours?? Seems a bit of a manufacturers oversight...
Failing all else, could you trap a folded towel under the chinrest clamp on the back of the instrument? I have seen this done...look at my photo's of Ruth Angell on this site playing her acoustic, she does this & uses no shoulder rest
